What is Veranda HP DECK made of?
Veranda HP DECK is made of cellular PVC, which is Virgin Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC). The special co-extruded processes make the product with strong characteristics.
Will Veranda HP DECK melt in high temperatures?
All products, including wood and steel, will melt if the temperature is hot enough. However, Veranda HP DECK will not melt under normal use conditions. It is not required painting to protect top performance of the product.
How to store Veranda HP DECK?
Always store Veranda HP DECK on a flat and level surface and in the shade whenever it is possible. Do not store the product in any location where ambient temperature may exceed 120°F. Products should be stored as it is intended to be installed. Do not stack bundles in an unsecured height. In addition, keep product free of dirt and debris at all times by leaving the applied factory wrap to protect the material. If product gets dirty, clean after installation. Veranda HP DECK is more flexible than wood. Do not try to lift similar quantities of Veranda HP DECK as you would with traditional lumber.

There is no paint required for the Veranda HP DECK. Veranda HP DECK can maintain its beauty and natural look after years. It is not necessary for the structural performance of the component.
Can a groove be rout/cut in the side of a Veranda HP DECK?

Can you rip Veranda HP DECK?
Veranda HP DECK product should not be ripped to reduce thickness, but can be ripped to reduce width. As long as the board can still be installed per the installation guidelines the warranty will be valid. Please use care when fastening ripped boards, as pre-drilling may be necessary.

Can I use glue or caulk with Veranda HP DECK?
Do not use caulk to fasten Veranda HP DECK or to seal between any decking boards. This will impede the drainage and inhibit the natural expansion and contraction of the boards. In the normal Again, it is not recommended to use caulk to seal between the decking boards because of some serious issues.
Do I have to pre-drill Veranda HP DECK when installing?
For Veranda HP DECK, you will never need to pre-drill unless installed in extremely cold situations and when you are within 1-1/2" from end of decking board. Veranda HP DECK will not mushroom when you screw your boards.

Will Veranda HP DECK fade in color?
Yes. Most materials exposed to UV and other weathering effects will fade. Veranda HP DECK is engineered to provide the highest quality performance and weatherability. Its high-tech manufacturing processes with high quality raw material and UV-inhibiting pigments to produce products consistent in color. Because of the quality of material used, Veranda HP DECK products fade less than any other composites available.

Can Veranda HP DECK be sanded or power washed?
We do not recommend sanding. Sanding will change and damage the appearance of the Veranda HP DECK material surface. Using a power washer with greater than 1500 psi and/or applied closer than 12" from the deck surface could damage the decking surface. Any issues related to the sanding or power washing will not be covered under the Veranda HP DECK warranty.
How difficult is it to maintain Veranda HP DECK once it's installed?
Not difficult at all. Veranda HP DECK is considered a low maintenance product and its surface can be easily cleaned with soap and water. Veranda HP DECK will never rot, wrap, and scratch resistance. Clean twice a year would be necessary.
What can be used to clean rust, ground-in dirt and grime from my Veranda HP DECK ?
